Tramontana XTR | A hypercar at almost 900 hp

Two bucket seats in a row. Behind its back, a powerful V12 biturbo 5.5 source Mercedes AMG, according to data provided by the maker, offers rider and passenger a boost from nearly 900 hp. The price of this supercar: more than 400,000 €. All this according to an announcement which appeared recently on JamesList. This is the Tramontana XTR second “fatigue” of the Catalan craft Manufacturer based in Girona known for its hypercar from 710 hp in the form of a concept at the Geneva Motor Show 2005. In 2009 it evolved into the Tramontana R. The XTR was announced last summer therefore it is in production. In fact, an advertisement that appears on the site these days specifies the sale of a new specimen of the factory, equipped with a two tone paint (for car body and interior) and available to the tune of 510,000 euro. Much more than the 420,000 Euros that had been indicated by Tramontana at the time of submission of the hypercar.

Authentic cross between the sports prototype and the car, the Tramontana XTR is an evolution of the very narrow range so far prepared by the Catalan brand. The engine, a 5.5 liter biturbo V12 Mercedes AMG, further elaborated, delivers the beauty of 888 hp and 980 Nm of torque mated to a sequential gearbox.

The car body is enclosed by four motorcycle type fenders and recalls the aeronautical solutions: the driver’s seat in front, the passenger seat behind and the interior is enclosed by a “dome” glass. A “toy” that, according to Tramontana, requires little more than 3 seconds to squirt from 0 to 100 km / h and the showing of “More than 340 km / h.”
