Acoording to some auto reviews here are the official information on the new Seat Leon Seat MY 2013. The new model is said to offer full LED headlamps. With its 4.26 meters in length, the new Spanish average car is about 5 inches shorter than the previous version while the wheelbase is nearly 6 inches longer. The trunk has a capacity of 380 liters, 40 liters more than the model it will replace later this year. Another innovation introduced by Leon is the new logo of the manufacturer Iberian, presented on the grille, tailgate and steering wheel. This car will be the first Seat to show it off. VW Group engineers have moved the front axle forward by 40 mm thus obtaining a better weight distribution. Thanks to the use of advanced manufacturing techniques and lightweight materials for the realization of the bodywork, the overall weight was reduced by 90 kilograms. All engines feature direct injection and turbocharging and have been specially designed to ensure a low internal friction and rapid attainment of the ideal temperature for the year with consumption reduced by up to 22%.

The car will initially be offered with 1.6 TDI engine from 105 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The Ecomotive version with start-stop system and energy recovery is scoring consumption of 3.8 liters of diesel per 100 km in combined cycle, compared to 99 grams of CO2 per km. The more sporty 2.0 TDI Ecomotive, totally redesigned, consuming an average of 4.0 liters of fuel per 100 km despite a generous maximum power of 150 hp and a torque of 320 Nm. In the first months of 2013 will be released the  1 .2 86 to 105 hp TSI, the TSI 122 hp 1 .4 and 1 .8 TSI 180 hp, top version of the petrol range. The range of diesel engines, however, will be enriched from 1 .6 90 hp TDI and the powerful 184 hp 2.0 TDI which develops a maximum torque of 380 Nm depending on motorization. The chassis of the new Leon has a front axle with McPherson suspension and subframe while for the models with engines up to 150 horsepower, the car is equipped with torsion beam rear suspension. The more powerful models use a multi-link suspension that handle loads longitudinal and transverse loads separately. The new “Drive SEAT Profile” from the Leon FR allows the driver to vary the characteristics of the steering, throttle and the engine sound (using an actuator signal). The driver van choose between Eco, Comfort and Sport. There is also a custom setting that allows you to make adjustments depending on the preferences of those behind the wheel.
