Infiniti Emerg-E Concept | The sporty hybrid will arrive in 2016

The many rumors regarding the launch of a brand new hybrid sports car signed by the manufacturer Infiniti have finally been confirmed. The Japanese House in 2016 will launch in international markets a futuristic sport car with an advanced hybrid technology derived from the concept of Essence Emerg-E presented last year at the Geneva Motor Show. According to Andy Palmer, head of Infiniti, the Japanese hybrid sports future will be a sports car like the Tesla but with a lot more flexibility in terms of autonomy. The manager of the Japanese manufacturer has gone even further stating that the car will be developed to accommodate people who are particularly demanding.

Palmer has also specified that the sporty hybrid will not use the powerful V6 3.8 liter twin turbo 550 hp in the GT-R because of its features being too brutal, not very befitting of the elegance of the Infiniti brand.

Unfortunately the manager of the Japanese House is still unsure on what type of heating unit will be used on the car. The only two hypothesis are that it is possible due to hazard concern to use a mechanical system with a plug in hybrid or alternatively the use of a range exstender system, capable of offering high autonomy of travel.
