Synthetic carbon fiber, a material widely used in F1 racing for the weight reduction is adopted throughout the bodywork and some mechanical parts. This very durable, lightweight material used for the rear wing, diffuser, a front spoiler, the bonnet, the front strut brace, bonnet, wheels, rear air vents and roof canopy. The wheels of carbon is 20 kg lighter than the corresponding aluminum. This means that weight savings achieved in a critical area as the unsprung masses are substantially reduced, to the great joy of engineers and for maximum enjoyment of drivers. The roof is constructed from carbon fiber interior weighs only 2,6 kg, compared with a steel 9,3 kg, and significantly lowers the center of gravity. The wings are made of aluminum and weighs only 800 gr one instead of 2,2 kg is the weight of the steel versions.
