The difference with respect to the version with two drive wheels is derived from the contribution of a system developed by Haldex which besides being very effective and reactive has a weight of less compared to the previous 1.4 kg. It is ideal for driving on snow, gravel, asphalt or slimy, as what is often encountered in winter.

Available with either a 1.6 TDI with 105 hp or a 2.0 TDI with 150 hp, which has considerably reduced fuel consumption, respectively 4.5 and 4.7 l / 100 km. In addition the variant with 150 hp although it could count up to 10 hp more than the previous model of the same displacement, consumes on average 15% less.

Offered in versions Trendline, Comfortline and Highline it comes out on the market only in the 4 door body styles and in Germany. The premium compared to conventional Golf with the same equipment and engines costs 1,800 euro.
