The Alfa Romeo 4C at the WTCC

The Alfa Romeo 4C was chosen by the Eurosport Events as Safety Car World Championship FIA WTCC for the entire 2014 season. Thus, the award winning coupe will be presented with a special appearance on the slopes of the WTCC for the first match to be held at Circuit of Moulay El Hassan of Morocco in Marrakech on 12 and 13 April. It also ties in with the major grand prize for the Most Beautiful Car of 2013 at the 29th international film festival car in Paris. The small supercar was the winner in a poll organized in collaboration with the international car festival’s website Eurosport, which organizes and displays of the WTCC FIA. Designed by the Alfa Romeo factory and made ​​of Maserati in Modena, the Alfa Romeo 4C is the modern emblem of the brand and represents the DNA of Alfa Romeo: performance, style and technological excellence, offering driving pleasure in complete safety.

The two seater coupe with the engine in the center and back movement succeeds great performance as: 0-100 km/hr in 4.5”, maximum speed 258 km/hr, maximum deceleration rate of 1,2 g and lateral acceleration reaching up to 1,1 g. All this thanks to a proper weight distribution -40% on the front axle and 60% on the rear and value weight/power below 4 kg/hp. The new flagship model of the Alfa Romeo was considered suitable to play the role safety car in WTCC, organized and displayed by Eurosport Events. The WTCC consists of 12 rounds in 4 continents and according to tradition, will complete the race in track Da Guia of Macao on 16 November. All 24 matches will be screened live by the channels Eurosport and Eurosport 2.
