Silex Chreos | The flagship for electric future

A new prototype electric car joins the list of many zero-emission models presented in recent times with the only peculiarity that this time the car did not come from a car manufacturer but by a company active in the energy sector. The one to show its proposal is in fact zero-emission energy company Silex Maltese, who has developed a concept to envision a future luxury sedan characterized by electric propulsion. The car is called the Silex Chreos, although it’s currently just a virtual project, the company assures that they are willing to take it in production within three years with the ambitious goal of revolutionizing electric mobility for which, in the words of Silex, should be literally “the dawn of a new era.”

At least on paper, the Chreos actually has what it takes to do well. At an impressive and elegant appearance it has a lightweight car body made ​​entirely of carbon fiber, in addition to an electric motor capable of delivering 640 horsepower and an impressive torque of 4,400 Nm, ensuring performance estimated at a maximum speed electronically limited to 300 km/h and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

A surprise is autonomy which according to Silex would reach 1000 kilometers traveling at a speed of 125 km/h while the batteries be rechargeable in less than 10 minutes. All this is a beautiful, powerful, lightweight and low environmental impact: Is this the prototype of the “perfect car”?
