As far as the functionality is concerned, it is undeniable that the station wagon compact is certainly not memorised for its design. With the Renault Clio Sporter something has been modified. This station wagon is able to attract clients interested not only for the practicality but also for the lines. Surely the added value of the tested version is due to set up GT. Thanks to a series of targeted interventions such as revised front, skirts on the sides and the aggressive rear diffuser where exits the double exhaust pipe, the Clio GT Sporter reaches 360 degrees. The dimensions make it the perfect choice for urban use also thanks to its length of 4.26 meters and width of 1.73 meters.

The Sporter interior has been praised for the Clio RS, with its large screen system R-Link dashboard. Specifically, GT sports seats provide excellent lateral support and the rear space is more than enough for three people. The capacity of the luggage compartment has a volume of 443 liters and expands up to 1380 liters. Concerning the multimedia system R-Link, except for the navigation system, we find various functions such as R-Sound Effect which via a touch screen can radically change the sound emitted by the Clio GT Sporter, choosing from a long list of available models including the powerful Nissan GT-R or the historic Renault Alpine. Now is the time to learn how to go on the road with Renault Clio GT 1.2 Sporter EDC. When you start the car by pressing a button you will pleasantly be surprised by the sound of the engine. Although it does not have the tone attitude of the unforgettable Renault Clio V6, the Sporter sparkles a sporty character. The engine 1.2 TCe 120 hp and 190 Nm of torque is ready to discover and show excellent tradition. Between curves applied in selecting Drive RS and throttle response, there is a steering and gear automatic calibration in sport mode. Despite the 20 inches above the basic version, the hatchback Clio exhibits high steering precision and a balanced set that offers a lot of fun. It also promotes the navigation system and entertainment system R-Link. Is everything perfect? Not really. The 1.2 TCe engine is not the most economical unit on the market. According to the consumption, I have recorded a very remoted rate from the medium, a fact that makes me meet with the gas station quite often. Another disadvantage of Sporter Clio GT is the gearbox EDC. While traveling at high speeds in the city or at fixed speed, dual clutch performs well. But when the driver begins to take advantage of all the 120 horses the change arrives late and does not appear to rival the DSG transmission manufactured by Volkswagen.

To conclude, after all this road test, I would recommend the Renault Clio GT 1.2 Sporter EDC; Yes, if you are a young father seeking for a car that can keep a baby stroller, it can be functional and funny  between curves and with the cutting edge multimedia, the Clio GT hatchback is the ideal car for you! On the contrary, if you drive along many kilometers and go for economic performance, you should then evaluate and maybe choose the Sporter Clio 1.5 dCi turbo diesel of 90 hp.
