New mini roadster by Honda
It will go into production in 2015. Honda will bring to the Tokyo Motor Show next month a new prototype “open” model, which belongs to the mini. Not the first time the company has such a model, in 2011 he had his debut with the EV-STER concept, which had many similarities with the current prototype. Feature is that the company called the new Honda S660 concept an “open sports mini” because it has two seater bodywork and a fully retractable roof. Note that this model is powered by a 3-cylinder turbo engine 660 ml, which yields 64 horsepower and with a combined transmission CVT 7 relations. Moreover, the exact weight of the original has not been announced but it is estimated at 900 pounds.
It is worth noticing that the new concept seems to be more “realistic” and almost ready to go into production from people of Honda and it is expected to be launched in 2015, initially in the Japanese market. Also, there are serious considerations that the concept S660 is going to be launched in Europe (most after 2015), but with a 1.0 liter engine and 100 hp.
Finally, Honda at the Tokyo exhibition will present the S660 and the Acura NSX concept and the production version of Urban SUV.
