Kia GT Cross revealed at the Chicago Auto Show 2013
At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Kia has shown for the first time to the public a new concept called Cross GT positioned halfway between an SUV and a Crossover: built on the chassis of the GT sedan introduced in 2011 it has more inches length and width than the Sorento but has a roof line slightly lower so as to make a more streamlined design. Just with regard to the design, the Cross GT combines the sporty lines and angular exterior with elegant and luxurious character of the interior, also embellished with glass surfaces on the roof that provide a good light to the passengers. The latter will also have access to a sophisticated entertainment system that provides a touch screen in the center console and two LCD screens integrated into the front headrests.

With regard to the mechanism, the Cross GT will be powered by a V8 petrol engine and an electric motor with batteries hidden under the rear seat that will provide 400 hp and 500 Nm of torque dumped on the four-wheel drive through a change automatic eight reports. Thanks to hybrid, emissions have been drastically reduced. The Korean company has also made other small adjustments in the environment: the interior upholstery in fact has not been treated with chemicals but only with natural dyes and the wood moldings were made with walnut recovery.

The Kia GT Cross then merges luxury and sustainability, assertiveness and elegance, in a crossover to say the least versatile. In a market that continues to be sluggish this might just be the solution to wipe out the competition.
