Is BMW preparing a compact sedan?
Mercedes opened the ball with the CLA, the Audi A3 responded with the Sedan and the BMW? It seems that the Bavarian company is thinking of a compact sedan, smaller than the 3 Series to challenge the German cousins. The problem is to understand on what basis this will be achieved because the BMW does know that the House Ethics does not hold back when it comes to experimenting with new types of models. The most logical idea would be to build the new sedan a sporty cut starting from the current Series 1. On the other hand the CLA is derived from Class A from A3 and the A3 Sedan then the path is more sensible to what it sees as a starting point the 1 Series but it is said that this is the final solution unless BMW does not wanted to focus on the exclusivity of the rear wheel drive.

The other choice which could benefit from lower construction costs provided by the front wheel drive would be to base the car on the future Mini expanding even further the range of the English House. But this solution would definitely outside the box Mini that when it is adept on different cars from the classic British formula it will not be as successful as hoped to the point that the web will be full of advertisements of Mini Coupe and Roadster km0.

All that remains is to wait. On the other hand the new Mini is coming as it is scheduled for the end of the year and who knows whether there will be some indiscretion in this regard.
