Fisker Karma, Justin Bieber’s chrome car
Justin Beiber is so popular that he has sold millions of records worldwide. This is good news for the car maker of the car that he is driving. Unfortunately his fans are just teenagers and are not really interested in a luxurious hybrid sedan. The pop star received the Fisker luxury car for his 18th birthday coming from Ellen de Generes. Justin was not content with the good looks and eco friendly icon that the car projects, so he had some changes made like wrapping it with chrome vinyl. This was done by West Coast Customs. Aside from the chrome wrap, other obvious changes include dark tint windows, 22 inch wheels and LED lights under its chassis. Auto fans couldn’t help but react to the celebrity car. He turned the supercar into a big mirror by putting excessive chrome. It is not just a few accents but the entire car.

He coated it top to bottom with shiny chrome. As a result the car is reflecting the sun which is blinding to the eyes. Good thing is there are now laws regarding fully chromed lights. Now let us go beyond the chrome and look into the car coming from Fisker Karma. After three years and several millions, the company rolled in a hybrid sedan. The styling was done by Henrik Fisher who inherited his father’s love for sixties American cars. Prior to designing the Karma he put the design studies into practice by conceptualizing BMW Z8 and Aston Martin D89.

Under the hood of the Karma is a good foundation with a four cylinder engine that can produce 260 hp. Next to it is a lithium ion battery pack that offers 402 hp. It also has a propulsion system, 22 inch cast aluminum wheels, aluminum suspension and Brembo brakes. All are supported by aluminum space frame. The Karma is finished with a sun roof, deck lid and plastic bumpers. We all wonder why the pop sensation has to change everything.

The Karma is comparable to Nissan Leaf but with more power. The driver seat is elegantly tailored. You can engage the car in stealth mode. The car can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.9 seconds. The overall curb weight is 4000 pounds. It has a low rpm torque which would mean greater mileage. This is the aspect which the car excels in. Handling is another subject that Karma is confident in. The steering is very responsive. There is also minimal body roll so the ride is very comfortable. The brakes are well calibrated to convert momentum. The car is big enough to accommodate four grownups. It has a touch screen entertainment system for audio and visual purpose. Overall the car has fine detailing and customizes touches. Certainly this luxurious machine is beautiful – chrome or without chrome.
