The VW has confirmed that it will unveil next week in Detroit the Beetle Dune concept, 2nd generation. It has more dynamic elements than the older original. In 2000, the German group had presented a crossover version of the Beetle, in form, the original Beetle Dune Concept, and now announced that redesigned this original borrower, plus lines of the new generation Beetle, and became more sporty and aggressive characteristics within the company. This concept will premiere at the upcoming Auto Show Detroit.

More specifically, the new VW Beetle Dune Concept has redesigned front and rear bumpers, larger prostate metal caps on the bottom and more swollen domes compared to the earlier prototype. It also has built in LED lights on the front bumper and side sill protectors.

As for the interior designs of the model, the colors are the dark gray and yellow, while with respect to the previous concept, has replaced the glove box of a large handle, and it has grown central console which has longer and multifunction display.

In terms of engines, the new prototype will be powered by 2liter, 4cylinder turbo engine of 210 hp, which will be combined with a 6-speed automatic DSG dual clutch transmission.

Finally, while there is no official information about whether the new Beetle Dune will go into production, but rumors speak of the production model since it received the green light will be launched in 2015.
