A motoring legend revives

Once upon a time, there was a small British firm that made racing miracles using engines of Jaguar. And it was fast, very fast, and people loved the most, until at some point they changed the safety regulations and the company was left without work. This is pretty much the history of Lister Cars, which the Knobbly was to become the myth of sports motoring! And now, after almost 25 years since the last Knobbly came from the factory, the Lister is preparing to return to its roots, in Cambridge, to create a new version of the storied race.

The former three brands recently combined into a module, and that to welcome the revival of the famous curved Knobbly Jaguar of the 50’s! The new company, Lister Motor Company Limited, invested in new facilities in Cambridge to allow George Lister Engineering to construct a nearly identical counterpart of historic racing. The original drawings and construction trick company founder Brian Lister have all updated at the same time they have called back many of the members of the original group of 50, including his own Lister! The cars will be based solely on the 1958 model and will have the character racing in their blood.

And of course the engines and transmissions for the Jaguar D Type reappear in Knobbly, the once powerful race which devoured them sharks of Motorsport! And even in 2015, completed 125 years after the occurrence of Lister in the market, will be organized by the respective matches historical artifacts. The new Lister Jaguar Knobbly, with security restrictions set by the FIA Appendix K, will be powered by Jaguar I6 engine 3.8 liter that delivers 330 horses and gets 100 km/hr from a standstill in 4.3 seconds. Also, another issue will be the time of the Chevrolet Corvette V8 4.6 liter with 315 horses bringing the 0-100 km/hr in 4.9 seconds. As for the price, will reach 365,000 euros.
