4 of the Hottest Cars Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show

Car shows like the Frankfurt’s International Motor Show are the best venues to debut or unveil the latest and most awesome automobiles from big name brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, BMW, Ford and Honda, among many others. Held at Messe Frankfurt, high-performance and innovative vehicles from top German manufacturers dominated this year’s show.

Here some crowd favorites during the Frankfurt Motor Show:


It’s Porsche’s first all-electric car and one of the most talked-about debuts at the show. It has more than 600 horsepower, thanks to its two electric motors, and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than 3.5 seconds. This four-seat sports car has a range of around 310 miles. It features classic proportions of a Porsche but with a futuristic design, suicide-style doors and most of all, cameras that replace rear view mirrors.



What makes this supercar quite popular is that it is the real-life version of the popular Bugatti racecar everyone loves to drive in the Sony PlayStation 3 game called Gran Turismo. It is powered by a W-16 engine and has innovative aerodynamics. It is expected to reach speeds above 250 mph on sections of the Le Mans circuit.



This model is a limited-edition of the M6 Coupe was introduced together with BMW’s M6 GT3 racecar, which is to replace the Z4 GT3 next year. There will only be 100 examples sold in the U.S. at $164,900. The M6 Coupe Competition Edition has a 4.4-liter, 600 horsepower, TwinPower-turbocharged V-8 engine and stiffer suspension. Interested buyers can choose between Austin Yellow metallic and Alpine White with BMW Motorsports’ signature red and blue stripes.



The unique design of the E-tron Quattro is to increase aerodynamics. This electric crossover is believed to rival the upcoming Tesla Model X. It has three electric motors mated with a liquid-cooled, lithium-ion battery pack, providing an output of an estimated 429 horsepower. Its DC fast charger lets users fully charge their vehicle in about 30 minutes.
